Spring Break, kind of…

Hi G3 family,

Ms. Morgan here!

I hope that this finds you in good spirits and most importantly, in good health! Three weeks into this stay at home order guys, how are you holding up?

This week was what should have been Spring Break for our kids and this is the first year in three years that I haven’t been spending these sunny days with excited G3 campers. Spring Break camp has always been one of my favorites at G3. I love everything about the change in weather, I love the springtime crafts and the opportunity to get back to our beautiful beaches after a long winter. Who doesn’t love a silly and competitive relay race in the sand!? Spring Break is that time of year when you start to really anticipate all of the fun things that summer brings to our community.

So this week I decided to give the boys a little bit of a break. We enjoyed the small moments. I didn’t worry too much about staying on schedule, this was our chance to play volleyball games in the backyard, take longer walks with our dog Coco, build forts and most importantly, sleep in!

At one point, I really stepped outside of my comfort zone and taught my son how to make pancakes, yikes! Boy did he leave a mess! The new week ahead will bring its challenges with the new online learning routine. I wouldn’t say I am very tech savvy but thankfully, we are all in this together.

Stay tuned for how we survived distance learning week ONE ❤
